why is it that when I sign in on LS1 tech, I can leave, or sign off, but when I come back later or the next day, the site remembers who I am and I do not need to sign in again.

but our new site I must sign in every time, whether it is to leave and come back, or to leave and come back the next day, I have to sign in every time I return.
could be the reason why we have so many guest visiting the web site and so few members on.
now I do have the little box checked when I sign in to remember me when I return but it does not help.

The site has to leave a tracking cookie for it to remember you were here. Once I sign in, I've always been signed it, no problems.

When you visit this site do you see the little icon that is highlighted with the green arrow pointing to it on the bottom of your browser window?

You may have to goto View--> Status Bar if you don't have the status bar visible to see it.

If that icon is there I can copy and paste a solution.
