TBSS Intake on 03 SSS
#1
can anyone throw up some pics on thier TBSS intakes with the 3 peice silverado engine covers.
Yeah i know who cares about covers.. well most of you know my #1 reason, but beyond that.. just staring at the intake is just ugly... i really want to cover it up, without using a TBSS engine cover if at all possible.
from my table top mock up last night (pics later), the stock location for the REAR mount doesnt allow the cover's from bolt to line up with a mounting hole in the intake. In fact, it lines up with the location for the 09 (assuming 09+ is different) MAP sensor. If i drill holes in the rear mount plate for the cover, I can get move it forward, and get the front bolt for the top cover to line up with a mounting hole.. but I fear that then it wont line up with the side covers, and just look stupid.
im also worried that the side covers wont mount up either. the drivers side has a stud, like my stock one that the cover hooks on.. but i dont see one on the passenger side.
Also, the evap solenoid needs to be moved, MAYBE.. i havent mocked it up ON the truck but from first quick glace at 8 pm last night.. and no more real thought on it.. it APPEARS that it might but up

I don't have a comment about the covers but a question about how you did your swap. I just got a complete TBSS intake manifold for my SSS. I am wondering what modifications you had to do to make the intake work? I have heard the fuel rail need to be changed because they are different, and ive heard you need to change to a C5 corvette fuel filter. Please help. Thanks

Will the stock ss fuel lines with a different cross over line work? If not what fuel lines are you going to use?

What year sss?? 05?? Not all years were return fuel systems..On the returnLESS years the fuel system is plug n play....
Take a look at the driver side of the intake manifold and see if there are 1 or 2 metal lines..GM made the switch to returnless in 04 or 05..
