Default SS cladding install

Anyone know how to glue the SS cladding to the driver doors?? I know it bolts from the bottom and from the factory they use double sided tape and I’ve tried epoxy glue and 3m double sided tape but every time it gets really hot outside it comes loose and I don’t want to damage the door cladding piece when I open the driver door..is there a special kind of tape I need to use???? truck is an 05 SS

It's not a normal black double sided 3m tape. It's a special 3m double sided tape and it's like a greyish in color. I believe it is the 3M VHP Tape. Been a while since i bought some and last place I got it was an Auto Body supply house.

3M VHB - "very high bond" and yep body/paint supply shop has it. Home orange box stores have it too but in much smaller rolls; way more economical to get the long roll from the body/paint supply. Gray with cherry red backing. And, use some wax/grease remover prep spray on the surfaces before applying it.
