Is the Silverado SS hood the same as the 2500/3500 HD hoods?

Might buy this one, guy says its off hos Silverado SS, I want the HD hood, looks the same to me:

 

i think the hood you want came on the 06-07 classic and the 03+ HD 2500/3500, that hood in the pic my be an SS hood but it looks like the normal 03-05 1500...

 

i thought so too. hard to find the hd hood.

 

The SS hood shown is a standard hood from 03-05. The HD hood started in 05-07 classic on 2500HD and cam on regular 1500 models on 06-07 classic

 

What he ^^ said,Silverado SS hood is no difference from any other 1500 silverado.

 

i agree its the same hood the 05-07 hd hoods look really cool IMO

 

03-04 SS had a regular hood. In 2005 they came out with the Intimadator SS that has the HD hood.

 

its not an hd hood its just the new hood design for those years not hd

 

So then a

"06 Chevy Heavy Duty/2006 Silverado 1500 Good Hoods Functional Diesel or Gas Ram Air Hood"

will swap over to a 2006 Silverado SS imtimidator? just to be sure, Im doing twin turbos.

Sounds like a simple question but I just want to avoid "Oh ya expect the SS"

03-05 1500 and 2500 have same hood

06-07 1500/2500 have same


im not sure on the SS myself. Im swapping to 06 hood and grille on my 05 right now
