I shaddered the ring gear or the pinion or both and a chunk of it put a hole in the diff cover. So it looks like i have to upgrade my rear a little sooner than i thought. Should i stick with the 10 or should i up grade? If i upgrade what should i upgrade to?

I'd think the 10 bolt should be fine, but a manual trans reeks havoc on a rear end. If you could upgrade to a 12 bolt, now would be the time.

if you could find a used disc brake 14 bolt from either a silverado ss or 2500, you should be fine. Was the ring a pinion OEM?

Every thing was stock as far as the rear end is concerned

most likely the G80 took a dump and brought the ring/pinion gear with it......... truetrac and some quality gears should get you going again.

I found a 14 bolt out of a 2000 3/4 ton truck for 800. I work in a machine shop so i'm going to take the axles out and put a 6 lug pattern in them and slap them back in with a tru trac i think a some 4.10s

On a lighter note...back to racing Lightnings lol...I havent raced a Lightning yet but I have a confirmed kill -vs- a Dodge Dakota R/T :judge:
