Tyler's Touch 11-10-2007 07:16 PM

hey booger nice to see i contributed to your cardomain page hahahhaa no prob though

RED04REGENCYRST 11-10-2007 07:20 PM

by the way tyler did you know that the rst have the stock cats and y pipe from chevy on them. i just switched to pacesetter lts and ory and omg did it open up the power and take off from a dig. if your lookin for something to do that can be used later when you do the 6.o swap i would do it soon as i could.

nightrunner 11-10-2007 07:22 PM

i believe the orange and white one is the John Moss Edition RST and was only available in 06 and 07 Classic, maybe some 05s too, not sure.

booger78z28 11-10-2007 07:32 PM

you like the cardomain? thanks tyler lol

i didnt know how to describe the truck, that helped alot :)

no of any subs that would fit behind the seat on a reg cab?

Tyler's Touch 11-10-2007 07:35 PM

Yeah they will...just get an angle sub box for a reg cab youll be all set

RED04REGENCYRST 11-10-2007 07:43 PM

what happens when you take a rst and transplant a 6.0 with a cam and lt's w/ory.......

Idle

behind my seat the floor is not flat, would they still work (angle subs)

RED04REGENCYRST 11-10-2007 07:48 PM

probox makes a dual 12" box for a standard cap up to 04 i think. im gonna make a set of boxes for mine.

booger78z28 11-10-2007 07:49 PM

RED, that sounds DAMN good!

RED04REGENCYRST 11-10-2007 07:50 PM

that has the rst catback still on it. all i changed was the headers and the y. well other than the motor. lol and thanks.
no dumps or cut outs.

a98ws6 11-10-2007 07:53 PM

Tyler , what toneau is that on the red chevy with dealer tags? I need one of those so I can keep my spoiler.

Tyler's Touch 11-10-2007 08:15 PM

Its a Pace Edwards Extang or Truxedo--all you need is the retractable type tonneau and youll be all set bro...it will slide under the spoiler inside the bed for sure bud!

Tyler's Touch 11-10-2007 08:17 PM

RED that sounds awesome-looks like ill be getting some of those!!!

RED04REGENCYRST 11-10-2007 08:17 PM

mine is a checkmate and i just shaved down the rear lip adn put a length of weather stripping and it seals up and doesnt mess with the spoiler

RED04REGENCYRST 11-10-2007 08:20 PM

you know i was puttin them on and they just dropped right in. well had to twist them around just alittle. the only thing i dont like bout them is the ory is a slip fit together. a bitch if you ever have to take them down. im gona mod them and make them blot together at the lt connection.

Tyler's Touch 11-10-2007 08:22 PM

Sweet, so you kept the regency muffler-back setup and just pulled the jba headers out and the stock cat Ypipe?

RED04REGENCYRST 11-10-2007 08:26 PM

yeah the pacesetter setup bolt directly up to the intermediate pipe. but like i said the ory is slip fit. so goin together isnt bad but if you have to drop your tranny you have to beat the hell out of the y. i used a lead hammer and still put a small dent in my y. so im gonna get some flanges and cut the ory and weld it up so that i can just unbolt it for when i have to work on my tranny. but the stock y drops right out with almost no problem. but you do have to remove the tranny x-member to get either out.

Tyler's Touch 11-10-2007 08:28 PM

Cool good to know

RED04REGENCYRST 11-10-2007 08:30 PM

one other thing i recommend is if your gonna do the t56 swap i would def. get the console. makes the truck look so much better and its a better arm rest and also storage for a standard cab. ill have to get some pics up of that too.

RED04REGENCYRST 11-10-2007 08:35 PM

oh and one other thing if your doin the t56 swap i would go with the ls7 clutch setup. it grips and is nice and smooth. im havin some trouble with my slave right now but im pretty sure whats causin the problem but im gonna have to drop the tranny again and put a new slave in it. do the drill mod on the end of the line that connects to the slave.

booger78z28 11-11-2007 04:53 AM

good info RED, thanks alot:D

a98ws6 11-11-2007 11:41 AM

a98ws6 11-11-2007 04:12 PM

Damn that console is awsome! Now I wonder if I can use that with my 5-speed for now?

Tyler's Touch 11-11-2007 04:21 PM

Maybe...fabrication and planning is everything

RED04REGENCYRST 11-11-2007 06:16 PM

the 5-speed shifter is too far forward to use the console.
but i got some vids today. they would have been better but the slave is goin to :turd:

Tyler's Touch 11-11-2007 07:09 PM

holy sheepshit those headers really open the exhaust up!!! Sounds horny bro!

RED04REGENCYRST 11-11-2007 07:14 PM

didnt know yall had those up there... sheep i mean. lol. yeah i couldnt believe the difference either in the switch. if anyone has the stock y that would be the first thing i would dump.
