Thanks man, I dig your setup also. I think it would be neat to drive both trucks back to back. Your truck with a 6.0/big gears/6speed as to a 4.8L turbo/stock gears.

My gut says popping thru the gears your truck may feel faster, but i'm sure the MPH would be moving pretty good also under the load and boost on mine.

Proace4, nice truck man lol. Who would have thought these little trucks could pull something too. How do you like the bags? I was looking at getting some, what brand did you go with?

so i spoke to a couple local mechanics that race stock cars... and some said that i should go with the 5.3L engine over the 6.0L cause the 5.3 will bolt right on to everying the 4.8 was in. The 6.0 they said id have to get new tranny, mounts, hardware, etc cause they are usually in heavy duty trucks and the only thing i would gain with the 6.0 is maybe a little more torque...

any thoughts?

you should only have to change all the tranny stuff if your going with a 4l80e. the 6.0 is the same block as the 4.8/5.3. it will drop right in and everything will hook up just like it is on your current motor. however the 4l60e wont live long behind the 6.0.

Don't expect the 5spd to last long either.....

Don't want to paint these. I'm doing black stripes on a black truck. Don't know how I will like them plus I'm doing something different with the stripes.

Does anyone have pin stripes on the side of their RST? Mine has red ones. I'm going to take them off because I do not think that they are normally there. I just hope to God they are not painted on.

Truck should be getting picked up on Wednesday. Should be here about 5 days after that.

#1-remove pinstripes
#2- OEM tail lights (I like Silverado tails better)
#3- put a spoiler back on

then let the fun begin!
