i forgot to add in that if you get the lts your gonna run rich without a tune and itll hurt the output of your 4.8. just an fyi. it will sound good and it will run without any problems, just not gonna run and full potential.

That exhaust clip is badass...exactly the sound I'm looking for.
I think I will go with HPT out of the gate; looking at it the same way you mentioned as "a learning experience" so to speak, plus I've found some great write-ups on basic tuning.
Originally I was looking at doing headers, cam, heads all in one go - kind of a "while I'm in there might as well" mentality, but after seeing the dollar figures involved I decided to take it a step at a time - not to mention that the more I read the boards here the more I learn.

I have a 4.8 with a cam and a true dual magnaflow exhaust. I have a sound clip of it on my profile page if you wanna get an idea of what a 4.8 sounds like with a cam.

Sounds pretty killer, definitely a difference in the 6.0 and 4.8. What are your cam specs?

Thanks for the complement! If I remember correctly my cam specs are 589/601 lift with 112lsa

well i got the exhuast done finally, and took the truck out for the night. ended up going to us 41 dragway. played around with some other people that were from another forum im on. get to the track and the damn tps sensor takes a so after two failed passes i have to feather off of the throttle so i dont set the REP mode, but it was all in all a good night. there are 15 vids for the night.
