What gives? I was at Super Chevy Indy today and saw a 04 JG with 10k miles on it , a 5.3 auto with a Radix and 3.6 pulley put down a whopping 240HP on the dyno. Aren't they rated a lot higher? I mean a stock 5.3 should put down those numbers right? Any how I was wondering if anyone else has dynoed their JG truck? Also what were the results? I would think it should put down 300 with a SC and a conservative tune. It was 100 degrees today but still.

I have a 04 4.8 joe gibbs with a 7lb pulley and headers I put down 364hp and 393tq. Are you sure it had the s/c? not all of them have a s/c. With the 10lb pulley I am sitting at 390hp and 420tq. The stock pulley is 5.5lb

J that's my point. I know what a SC looks like since I have one on my SS.(LOL) I tried to talk the girl out of her engine cover, you know the neat carbon fiber one. The Super Chips tuner was looking on the net for some clues to why it was such a pig. Also, it is under warranty and they didn't want to change the tune to get anything voided. The truck looked awesome, it should have put down more power though.

A 5.3 with a 3.6" pulley isnt going to make ****. What is that good for...3-4 pounds of boost, maybe? A 5.3 with a 3.4 is good for 6psi. Also, if the tune was factory TQ management may have been really killing him. He could make so much more with a real tune.
