Ive had the steering wheel "clunking" problem for the last year. Had the dealer grease it twice but they said it will return after a few thousand miles. Just in time for my factory warranty to expire.

Ive had it for a while and after the header install seems like it got worse. I think its more of a nuisance than a problem. Get the grease kit and do it yourself, not that difficult, like greasing equipment with zerks.

Once again the Intermediate Steering Shaft raises its ugly head. In my 02 they greased it then after 2 times they finally replaced it. My 2005 is starting to make the noise so I guess its off to get greased

Dammit!! I was hoping that if I can deal with the dealership on a '06 SS that I could get rid of the 'clunky' steering shaft . My '03 1500 had it and I just had my '05 re-lubed last week for the same thing (temporary fix but I guess it will have to do).

I hear GM will have a fix for this problem in the next few weeks, A new type of shaft will be out for replacement, it will also have a grease fitting.
