Arrow Hey will a 18'' wheel fit on a a JG silvy with the factory big brakes ?

Just curious.. I was reading that a 17'' wheel will, so I would almost assume any 18'' wheel would/. Thanks

Are you talking about the front or back?

I know that a 17" spare will not clear the brakes on the front.

18" should clear depending on the style of the wheel.

Both! As a matter of fact, question is about your old truck boss!

I've read that they have a 14" rotor on the rear just like the front, so you might not be able to run a 17" wheel at all.

Of course that all depends on the wheel design. Some 17" wheels might work but I know a full size spare will rub on the front brake caliper. I never tried it on the rear.

Take the Boss 330's for example and the C6 ZO6 brakes. You can't run a 22" Boss 330 on the front and clear the calipers without running a spacer due to wheel design. But you can run 20" wheels with those brakes. It all depends on the wheel design.

If that makes any sense.

I hope the truck has been treating you well. That truck was dead reliable and a ton of fun. I was just looking at some old pictures of the truck and it sure is sharp. Boy do I miss it.

man I have been missing this thread every time I get on here I guess. yeah man the truck sits in the garage 99% of the time. I actually bought these 18" centerline archers off of Mangled. They fit and look firkin awesome. I am going to get it cleaned up this week hopefully and take some time to post up some pics. very very clean man!!! I actually have a small pulley laying around. need to get the LT headers on the way. got a cam custom specd by stock48 also that I need to get ordered. been a very good truck to me thus far.
