Are you power braking or flashing it off the line. You will do better flashing it off idle. Your converter's clutches will start dragging pretty low in the RPM range brake stalling. Anyway, IMO you need more stall in your converter (3200 or more)...a 2.1-2.2 is no better than stock. That cam raised your powerband well beyond 6k so you need to shift around 6300 or so. And of course TUNING. You will dial it in, just takes time.

i tried both power braking and just mashing it off the line.
results were similar,
The converter.. that wont be swapped out until i can pay someone to do it, and have a car to drive for x days while it gets sent back to TCS

I'm gunna agree with krambo and the others, something has to be off a little in your tune. I managed a 14.1 in hot *** weather with a tune, headers and exhaust, cai, built tranny and a 3000 stall. I'd figure you should be quite a bit faster than mine with cam and heads. Althought matching the cam and converter could be part of it. Like krambo I'd say around a 3200-3400 would be better suited for your setup when time allows for you to get it restalled. Hope you get it all worked out man.

Too bad you were not closer! sounds like an install party

Like Joe stated, you can't expect to mod and then go out and run your best ET ever. Look at me, my shake downs were 14.1 (N/A)...since then I shaved off 2 seconds (N/A). Keep working at it, tune in particular and you will be rewarded!

with large runner heads this cam needed a 3500 to really "hit" the sweet spot. with unported 243's this should come down a bit. I never got to go for a ride in the truck so i'm not sure if his 3000 stall is really a 3000 stall or a 2700. The DA on the day he raced was pretty bad, i would expect a 13.8-13.9 on better DA and if i could make it to the track with him and see how he runs we may get that a tad better.

I have not been able to look at the tune at all, not that i could help much
