Hello poeple , can anyone tell me how to find out the specific year , aside from the Vin , of a 5.3L 1999-2004 ? I have all the casting #'s but can't find anywhere that tells the actual year other than the Vin and that is not possible since the vehicle the engine came out of was crushed a long time ago . There is a book for sale online that has some information about the month and year cast in code but I did'nt see any code deciphering anywhere . It would be nice while overhauling this engine to know that I'm going by the correct specs as there are 2 or 3 different specs for different years between 1999 and 2004 Any info would be greatly appreciated , Thanx
