Default Does this truck sound familiar to anyone?

Last week my dad did some trading with a friend of his that owns a body shop. He ended up with a 2006 Jon Moss Signature Series RST Silverado. It is a 4.8 with the 5 speed, and it has been lowered. The truck was originally purchased and registered in Arizona and had an Arizona State University sticker on the back window. The truck was then moved to El Paso where it was totalled sometime around early October this year.

I don't have a picture because the truck is in the process of being fixed. The bed is off, it only has the passenger's front fender, and until yesterday, it didn't have a cab. However, with the exception of the wheels, it looks like every other Jon Moss truck (best I can tell, the wheels look like these http://www.finishlinewheels.com/prodimg/ALY05256U.jpg). White regular cab with orange stripes.

As of now, this is all we konw about it. It has a Magna Charger on it, and when we fired it up today, it sure idled like it has a cam in it. I'm hoping someone here knows the guy who owned it and the information I gave will narrow it down enough to identify it. If this truck sounds familiar to anyone else, any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, I was looking for something like:

"That was Joe Somebody's truck. He put such and such cam in it with XX size injectors and tuning by so and so."

It's kind of a long shot, but I figure it's worth a try. Thanks.

Do you have any friends in Law Enforcement? They could probably run down the vin and get you the previous owners name. However I don't know how legal that is exactly.

Actually you'd be better off having a friend in dispatch because if an officer runs it and the individual has warrants, the officer has to arrest him depending on the severity of the offense. These days you just never know.
