You shouldn't be ashamed, Dave has a nice truck. Or did he sell it, not sure anymore. Anyway, there's nothing wrong w/. a little imitation, it's the sincerest form of flattery. I might borrow an idea, but make it my own, sometimes tho there's only so much u can do to reinvent somethin. Like black, how many ways are there to make black? Only a few: satin, gloss, black or metallic. And yes, despite Harley's name of Vivid Black, it's just regular ole black to me, just w/. a clearcoat.

Katech does sell the covers, I know I looked up the pricing too. They're not cheap, IIRC, wanna say $200 or so to start. Depends on coil relocation brkts. or not, powdered or painted. They might not get back to ya til Mon. tho. They do make some unique things for sure. High end stuff yes, but the covers are so sweet. Some more I had in my archives.

Powdered vers.

And probably my fav, but the Maggie might sway me a bit. I like the 1st blue 1 posted too.

Yea, the ABEARs are a quality piece. Shame they do not make them anymore. Chase has a neat set. Check out his build thread for some pics.

i love mine , they are billet with billet billet coil mounts. i too wanted the abears but i have heard some had machining problems and leaked oil into the coil area reeking havoc. i am very happy with mine so far although you still see the coil but they breathe a bit better if that even matters as my underhood temps are ridiculous.
