hey guys i am planning on building my 03 chevy ss into a 12 second truck i was wondering if it would be easier to drop a new built up engine or build up the stock engine. if any one could give me some tips on what the easiest way to do it would be that would be great. The truck is pretty much stock other than full exhaust and cold air intake and tune

Its all about the money.... and whether you want to keep it N/A, FI, or n2o. If you have an SS you already have a lq9, which will put you into the 12's easy. I would say build it up personally.

Heads/Cam/TVS2300 would put you in the 11's with the right parts for probably 7-9k and great reliability.

Anything will fit with enough work man. A 502 in there would be sweet!

May also consider a T76 or other similiar size turbo. With turbo or blower, 12s would be pretty easy.
