Default Plug wires for Trick manifold?

I keep burning up plug wires with this Trick manifold, it is getting kind of old. I've tried MSD, OE, and now on Taylor's. Seems to always be cylinder number two. The first time it happened I just assumed it was because I'm a dummy. After that, I dunno. Manifold is ceramic coated, boots are covered. Has anyone run into this before, and if so what was your solution? Tia!

Have you tried any wrap on the manifold?

I've never had problems with Trick's manifold and MSD wires. I bend them out of the way and add the wire heat sleeves.

Had 4 different kits over the years and no issues.

If the wire is touching the manifold, even with wrap, it will burn them up.

^ this right here? Wrap and wire protectors makes a huge difference in wire length longevity. And I’ve never had an issue with my Trick manifold either

If the wires are straight they need to be changed out.
You want a bendable wire at that area. Say 45’ or so.
Wrapping a thin layer of header wrap will help. They also offer plug boost covers. Same material as header wrap.
Plug wires boots need as much as possible and touch nothing that is hot.
Even if wrapped touching over time will still burn them.

Are you sure you don't have any leaks there? Even the slightest in a gasket or otherwise can kill any wire in short order.

I don’t have any problems with my Trick mani and MSD wires. I shortened them and covered in 1200 degree sleeves.

Get the dei titanium plug wire protectors. Work fantastic, also helps to make some heat shields for the wires too
