was told this motor had good oil pressure and ran fine out of 02 silverado 120k.I think these cam bearings are bad but thought I'd get some opinions before I waste money on it

If you look at cam bearings they are bad but if you don't they are just fine....

Replace them before they become a problem later on down the road. I cant see up close but it does look like there is material missing from the bearing. Are you going to be reusing that cam? I would replace that as well

Well **** at 120k supposedly I was just gonna stick a cam in it and let it ride.after seeing this tho it's not even worth fixing it after all the parts gaskets and machine work involved just for a 5.3.Im missing a lot of truck nights and bracket races just wanted to cam it step up my stall to a 4200 and run it but no just gonna sell it on Craigslist to someone who wants to build a 5.3.
