Default You guys make me want to spend more money!

What I have/building.
93 Chevy ecsb C1500.
Dropped 4/6
Currently on 275/50/17
Fresh 5.3
Comp 212/218 high lift
Whipple supercharger for the 99ish set up
Schoenfeld swap headers
3" to MagnaFlow mufflers
0411 computer
I believe 42 lb injectors-doing this from memory
Walbro 255
T56
Specstage 1 cluch with aluminum flywheel (I may swap to a twin disc without using the spec)
14 bolt semi float
Rear disc
Auburn
4.88 gears
Most likely i will fab an intercooler using a treadstone a2a.

I already know that it will put a grin on my face but I'm having naughty dreams of a turbo... I will run this set up for a bit and then transfer it to my sweetie's 94. I will keep the 5.3/T56. I will use KB racing's hot side and fab the cold side. The truck should weigh right around 5200-5300 with me in it. I don't want to put a cage in this truck because it will probably see a strip a couple of times here and there but I would like to have an 11.5 capable truck. What will it take to get me there? What turbo? What streetable fuel system?

A single 450 pump, 70-76mm turbo and some 60-70lb/hr injectors on pump gas should do it. I don't think 4.88's would be ideal or running it at a strip though.

I agree that the 4.88 would be too low on the strip. I would probably start off in 2nd there. The 4.88 keeps my cruising rpm where I want it.

Would a BW S475 be a decent choice?

I'd keep the 4.88s or you'll never be able to use 6th gear. I ran 4.56s with my old setup and they were ideal with a 30" tall tire. The s475 would work but it'd be much better in a t4 housing.

You can get the S475 in a T4. Forced Inductions has them...

Why would the t4 be the better housing?

Because the cheap s475 comes with a t6 housing and those tend to spool a little better on bigger inch motors. I'm not saying it won't work with your setup but I think you'd be happier with the spool up of a t4 housing.
