Default Bigger Heat Exchanger for 15 up trucks.

I got the whipple 2.9 in my escalade today and when installing the heat exchanger I could totally put a bigger unit in.

Does anyone make a bigger hx unit for the newer trucks running maggies or whipples?

Custom.
Find a radiator from summit that fits.
You'll have the largest hx for your truck.

Like Rick said, custom. HE's are one of those parts that have the same purpose across many different manufacturers.

Find one that fits, does a better job and adapt it.

Just want to point out that the limitation of these systems is usually the intercooler under the blower, not the heat exchanger in front of the grille.

iv thought about having a custom one made. but it would be like $400+ in materials alone. im curious who has adapted something custom that would show significant gains. Has anyone put any pusher fans on theirs? Only issue I foresee is fitting a 40k up front along with a large HX in a NNBS

As Atomic has pointed out, the week link is the intercooler under the blower. A larger HE will greatly help with recovery times. Putting fans on will only help if you drag race but will probably hurt you in everyday driving because of the restricted airflow.

On my Magnacharger setup that wasn't quite the case. Last season I was getting high IATs ( 80 Degree increase on a 0-130 Pull) So I did a bunch of testing and ended up with a Second HX and now I see a 22-24 Degree increase under the same conditions.

That was at 15psi spinning to 6600 with a 2.9" pulley and a 10% OD Crank pulley FYI.
