I thought so, figured by time i paid 80-100 for a tailshaft, and about sane for the adaptor housing and least ive found the 32 spline trabsfer case input for was somethink like $80..... Was worth the second transmission.... And i have spare parts i can use or sell off to recoop some of the money....

I wonder what I should do with my stock 80e converter and stock 60e trans and converter.

 

Without using it for a core kinda **** out on the 80e but might could sell the 60wconverter

 

Thats a good sign for a junkyard trans....

 

I think you scored a great trans. Why not just swap it in as is for now?

Also, before you do, be damned sure you can find an OS file for HPTuners that supports the segment swap you need. It took me forever to find mine.

 

I have a friend with a 99 gmc 2500 non hd if worse cones to worse....im putting the 60 in, not running this 80 without having gone through it and in its present form its 2 wd....

 

So i had a bit of a mishap with my driver side tailpipe today the pos fell out of the hanger, which was kind of a tenporary fix to begin with.... To fix where another hanger had broke!! Dropped it off to have a set of tailpipes built for it, should be finished tomorrow sometime. I have to work saturday at my full time job, so i am planning to get the trans swapped in after work, and possibly my headers on next week so i can get the cats mocked up and hopefully welded soon....

 

Much better, than what was on there!! Need take it back by and have them adjust the passenger side pipe upwards a hair
