I like the lightening exit myself.

Dumping under the bed is asking for trouble

How about tucked high and turned down in the corners barely past the body and cut flat with the body line? Kinda Crown Vic Police Interceptorish. Gets the tip outside the body.

Kinda like this:

We did that exact thing on my brothers '87. Dual 3.5" plain raw pipe. Had about 1/2" of the end of the pipe you could see if you looked for it. Looked clean and sounded really good. It was a 400sbc, long tubes, 3" X pipe, two 4" magnaflows, back into 3.5" over the axle and out the back. Flowed nicely and sounded damn good too.

I kinda like the look of an exit in front of each rear tire lol. Guess that would be too damn loud though huh? Maybe I haven't grown up yet.

Paint what ever part is past the bodywork/bumper flat black. Most will never notice. That is what I would like to do also. In the corners or straight to the bumper and down.

When I had duals on mine, they were dumped after the axle, firing down with just a smidge of tip showing on each side.

I drew something up with paint. You get the gist of it.
