So first up for the summer mod madness for the Tard-O-Mobile is the front end...

So the other day i came out and looked under my truck after it's daily beating and notice a massive puddle of power steering fluid under it. this has happened before, i filled it up and everything was fine until the other day. Sooo that pissed me off. Then i noticed my tires were wearing horribly it was down to the belts on the insides. So that pissed me off... Since i am buying new tires and wheels anyways, i don't want the new tires tore up sooooooooo, i am gonna rebuild the front end... ALL OF IT...

Also last time i had it aligned my buddy could not get it perfect due to lack of adjustment. He got is almost there... the tires lasted 2 years...

I bought:
New AC Delco PS Pump
New AC Delco Rack and Pinion
All new hoses
Lower ball joints
Uppoer control arms with offset bushings (to help with alighnment)
New Hellwig 1 -7/16 sway bar
poly/greaseable sway bushings
sway bar end links.

the new lower ball joints are kinda cool, i think. they have an intergrated grease boot. my old ones the boost never fit right and i could see the damn joint..

Also i am gonna try these sway bar endlinks. They look kinda cool and if you have ever raised your truck then lowered it with a jack the endlinks move ALOT

Damn those endlinks are sick. You might need the cams in addition to the offset bushings, I know I did and my truck is not lowered as much.

It should drive nice after all that!

How many miles are on the tires at this point?

You should find a local road course to time yourself before/after

Nice garage! One day I'd like to ride in a lowered 2WD truck to see how it compares to a lowered 4WD. I had a DJM 4/6 01 RCSB about 10 yrs ago and I remember that thing riding like a straight up Caddy.

it all depends on the parts used in the drop. flip kits and spindles can ride like factory. springs and shackles/hangers tend to be a little more rough around the edges (in the kits I've ridden in). bags ride like a caddy. your shock choice affects all of them.

Corey, who makes that ball joint? I'll slap some of those in my Camaro to get away from the brittle *** boots on my moog joints.

This is the reason for the new frint endlinks. At full extension they are really angled. At ride height they are straight up
