Default worth an extra $300-$400

i want to buy some 285/70/17 bfg AT's for my truck but price shiped to me is $850 same thing with all tires that size and then not to mention mounting or i can buy them at sams with free life time balencing and what not for $930. but what i am wondering is, is it worth it to spend an extra $300-400 for a one inch taller tire over a 265/70/17? bec i would buy a bridgestone deuler at, had em on my last truck a loved them. and only $125 a tire vs 188-200 a tire. i would also like to buy some performance parts this summer and a motorcycle, and some other stuff, so is the extra money worth it?
also:
i will make about $4500-5000 this summer
$1500 or so for performance parts atleast (1000)
$500-700 for visual
like to buy a motorcycle $1000-1200
$1000 for insurace
need some money for the year, so the way i am looking at it 300 is kind of big

thanks man, i really like yours, i really wanted peweter with painted flares. really only reason i want the 285's is to fill out the wheel wells, plus i think fat rubber is cool, but thqat much money for tires when i want to buy so much more, is a little crazy to me
