If a rotor could be found with a smaller dia. hub/hat, then the caliper brackets could be tweaked a little more, bringing the caliper in. Then slightly smaller wheels could even be used. I also went from the 14 incher's to the 15's and can honestly say, I wouldn't have it any other way now.
hmmm...missed that problem...

Is it simply the "hat" area that hits? I know this would mess up the powder coating, but what about reshaping the "face" of the caliper to fit the "hat area"?

I personally don't like the idea of taking meat out off the "structure" of the caliper (though I'm sure for most people's use it is a negligible issue).

The amount of unused pad with the 14" Powerslot's is just about a 1/2", so there is no amount of massaging of the calipers that will use all the pad and fit them. The only way, would be to find a rotor with a smaller hat. Rotors to fit the 6 lug trucks are just few and far between. As far a grinding on the calipers goes, once you have one of these beasts in your hands, you will realize that the 1/8" that needs removed isn't a whole lot. I'm sort of like you, in thinking that I hated to grind on my new calipers, but it isn't that big of a deal really.

If you are happy spending that much money for something that is half a$$ that is your choice. I was not happy and thank god someone stepped up and was able to help fix that problem.

uhm. half ***? its just as half *** to grind on some brand new calipers to make them fit.

im just happy that someone made such a cool product for our trucks, that doesnt cost an arm and a leg. it may not be perfect, but it works pretty damn good.

If that is how you want to look at it, that's your choice.
So have you done this mod? Post up some pics of your truck. Got the feeling you won't though.
So why you pimping JYD's work anyways? Come on, tell the truth.

With JYD's brackets, yes there is some material in the way.

Is that what you wanted to know TexasPainter? (JYD)
Just getting those brackets square using the recommended Rotors requires Shims(bunch-A-washers).

Again trying to get as much use out of those brackets. Many have paid for them and want a proper fit.Not Just something off the shelf.

[QUOTE=jf-03-ss;4059139]That is your choice. Would you rather this: 14" rotors with unused brake pad

or would you rather this: 15" rotor w/ complete contact

Yes you have to do some grinding to get them to fit

There has been some good progress from this.WE Should think JYD for this or Is it Speedaddict?.I think Speed addict was the first!.With out them we would not be this far.

Maybe He is just a concerned consumer.Thats ok!Where were you(texas painter)7 mo ago,you could have saved me a ton of money!lol!
I honestly wished You would have posted then,I may have dug a Little deeper on this Mod way back when. I Would not have spent so much money on things that really did not fit.

But NOW!!!! Some one has Redesigned those brackets too allow them to fit a well known manufacter's 15" Rotor.....with the proper pad contact WITHOUT MODIFING(GRINDING) Anything!!

A TRUE BOLT ON! A Suporting Vendor will be releasing soon!

Nice Job Jeff Love the look's and with function too!

Thanks Ray. I can't wait to try out the new brackets and have the proper fitment. FYI Ray, someone here is not telling the truth who they really are.

Since this is a "Show & Shine" thread and not an advertizing thread, this information should construded as a description of what Jf-03-ss did on his truck.

As far as parts he obtianed,If he wishes to release that info that is his discresion. I believe a supporting vendor will be releasing parts pricing and availbility soon.

So look forward to an advertizment in the appropriate thread.
