Default Working on dropping/debadging the truck & new wheels...pics

Decided to drop the truck down and go for a more sporty look instead of the offroad look that I've had since I got the truck 7 years ago. Here's a progression.

Before. This height was done by adding a helper spring to the rear end and swapping torsion keys up front and cranking up the torsion bars.

After removing the extra helper spring and factory lift block in the back, and dropping the torsion bars as far as they would go with the aftermarket torsion keys.

After swapping back to factory torsion keys

I ordered some 2wd u-bolts yesterday, 1" drop shackles for the back today, new Toyo Proxes 275/55-18, and will be fitting them to some factory Titan 18's. Also going to start debadging the truck here in the next couple of days. This is a huge change for me and has been part of a several year-long progression from the 4x4 offroad look to the sport truck look. Just so you guys can see where I came from, this is what the truck looked like when I first joined here 3 years ago.

I'll keep this thread updated as I go along. Hoping to be all finished with it by the end of next week.

I know....more like an attention ***** I've got threads running in pt.net, gmfs, azdesertgoats, ls1truck, and silveradoss

Bought some fishing "string" (just for you Shannon) a little bit ago, gonna start debadging tonight or tomorrow. Got nothing else to do until the rest of my parts show up next week.

Very nice, didn't take long to go from the photoshop version to the real thing huh! I know exactly where you're coming from, when I joined this site I was rollin' on 33" BFG AT's, full badges and mouldings, ventvisors, yada yada. I liked it at the time, but now I wish I had the bucks for spindles and hangers to lower it more

Keep the pics coming!

It takes me forever to make a damn decision, but when I do it's on! I have little patience and I get excited to start working. Once the decision is made it usually goes pretty quick. If I didn't have to wait for parts it would be done tomorrow probably

I remember seeing pics of your truck before you dropped it back down....looks better now

Yep I'm hoping that it will hook better and won't hop as much.
