Window Control LED's
#1
Well on this endless quest for a totally blue truck I just finished my passenger window control conversion.
I pulled out the single bulb that was there and wired up a double led and resistor. After I did that I added some mirror tape around the inside to maximize the light speading.
Before the tape it looked ok... kinda blue...
After the tape.... .... way brighter and more even.
Ill get pics soon....

http://www.superbrightleds.com/1157.htm
like you did before. was it easy to do the headlight and window control panels?

No they arnt 194.. not even close...
If you thought the dash etc is hard.. dont even try this...
I got 2 3mm blue leds with 22deg viewing angle and 1500 ... like this:

Then hooked up a 510 1/4watt resistor...
And next thing you know ive got blue window control switches... well almost that easy... hah..
Pics are definitly coming soon...

I would be interested! My lights are starting to go out in my dash (two on the A/C controls, one on the headlight dimmer switch) and I was looking to replace them anyway.
Is the wiring really all that hard? There's only two things that I refuse to work on--electronics and wiring! LOL

ya, mac i would be interested in a kit. it would match everything else i have in my truck. check out my dash pics in my signature. obviously i wouldn't need the cluster bulbs. my g-tech matches my dash too. i have a new clarion mp3 player coming that has 730 different color options to choose from for the display. i am sure that will be easy to match everything else. all i need to do now is the map, door, A/c, driving light, window & locks switches
