Default Wheels look bad.....what will clean them?

I just got a used set of Boss 315s dirt cheap from a guy here locally. I thought they were just dirty but after washing them noticed the aluminum part around the outside of the wheel is all stained and looks awful.

Looks like he cleaned them with the wrong wheel cleaner or something? Is there something out there that will clean them and make them look new again? Thanks!!!!

I need to see a picture....If they are billet and he etched them with the wrong cleaner you might want to have them professionally polished (about $75 ea.) if they are just oxidized I have good luck with the mothers ball and some aluminum polish.

Looks like its probably polished then. For mine I wet sanded them with 1000 grit, then stepped to 2000 grit. After I was through with the sanding I polished them out with a Powerball and Mother's Power Metal polish.
