what to use...

alright fellas, noticed the other day when a friend was driving my truck at night that the whole undercarriage looks like crap being all rusted looking and brown compared to my shiny black paint. Do ya'll know what's required paint wise to paint up some of those rusted metal parts underneath? I was thinking some sand paper and some flat black would do it, but I'm worried about it chipping... any suggestions appreciated

I'm thinking about using some spray stuff to re-coat my frame. Should I clean it with anything first? Or just spray it down the best I can with the hose, and let it dry, then spray it on?

spray it with carb or brake cleaner that dries fast spray that off with compressed air and paint it. if it chips do it again. or take it apart and powdercoat it... but that cost $$ lol

for the suspension stuff use POR 15 its shiny black and it looks good. I had a 91 3/4 ton suburban with a 15" lift and 3" body lift so it was out there for the world to see. thats what i did; frame, axles, driveshafts, everything under the body. and i sprayed the crap out of the chassis with mud and rocks and it never chipped. the POR stands for paint over rust so it adheres to rust and doesnt chip
