Default What type of fog light bulb in 01+ trucks?

I am placing an order for our light/fog bulbs and I can't find out which bulbs fit the new GM trucks and I'm on dial-up at work so search is not an option :p

Is there an actual replacment bulb or do you have to buy new fog lights (IE seal beam)?

i am running a 882 in there. it is a 27 watt bulb. i put in some 40 watt bulbs for a while but they kept going out. when i put in the other bulbs they have lasted for more than 6 months. just make sure the bulb connector sticks straight out.

don't get 55 watt bulbs for the fog light either. i ordered some of those from ebay. i like them but they are too hot. it melted my metal thing off that sits in between the bulb and the plastic lense. also, my plastic lense fell off due to them being too hot.

wal mart or target has the OEM replacement bulbs. ive gone through quite a few with my drop-keep bottoming out and shattering them. look in your owners manual and it will tell u the replacement number or there should be a fitment guide in the stores

the 9005s are for the hi beams and the 9006s are for the low beams, correct? I think I will pick up some silverstars for the lows and the ebays for the highs since they are $15. the silvstars are $40/pair at Autozone.

also, did you buy your fogs from the dealer. My 03 LS has everything but fogs and I would like to add some.
