What street tires??
What tires are you high HP 2wd guys running to help with traction on the street? I'm not sure I want to commit to something like the MT ET Street Radial Pro for fear they will only last 500 miles. There seem to be decent options out there... but theyre all SHORT as hell. I hate that. I may have to suck it up though.
What is everyone running and how much life are you getting out of them? This truck isn't a daily driver, but it DOES get street use and I don't want to buy new tires every few months. If I want to go on a 200 mile road trip I don't want to come home to bald tires.
I have Race Star 17x9.5's now, but I could be convinced to trade for a 15" wheel if anyone is interested...

If you dont care about tread, I run the MT ET pro bracket radial and got close to 1500 miles and over 200 passes on them, but they arent DOT approved is the only downfall. I didnt care about that cuz I would just suck it up if I got pulled over. Lmao I get 1.2X 60fts but you know thats in a car also which is lighter then the truck

My last three sets of rear "street" tires have all been drag radials. 555R > NT05R > MT ET Street2 (<best of the lot). Honestly, unless you are doing a lot of burnouts, they last longer than you may think. I usually get several thousand miles out of a set. Interstate trips do very little tread removal. I drive mine to Mississippi a couple times a year. When it comes time to replace the current set, I will likely go back to a NT05R unless MT starts making the ETSS in my size (305/45/18).
With that said, If you truely want a regular street radial, the NT05 is a great tire imo. I use them for my autox tires and have left them on for street driving. You won't be doing any full boost dig launches but they are very predictable and have pretty good straight line traction in the higher gears.

The 555R are going to be the best for longevity but lowest for traction. Thus far the MTs are wearing about the same as the NT05R but have better traction and are better in the rain. Cant really say on the NT05 since our local AutoX location is concrete and really eats the tires.
