hey guys...I'm out of my relm here but,
...it should be here anyday now,and I'm pretty dang exited...lots of interesting tire choices...but I do also like the 275/45 idea...had the big truck and now it's time for a 2wd...so I want to keep it "down" so to speak, yeah like everything, I most likely won't leave it alone for long..so a drop kit,hood,roll-pan and some minor motor/exhaust mods are in the future...but like Josh said I have a pretty stupid drag/street(?) car that I've been working on so the wheels are the most important for now...you know the "presentation" factor.

...you guys have some nice rides out there I just like seeing the different looks,it's alot different than what I have in my on jack stands in the basement...but I know I'm gonna get hooked!!

thanks for the help...
Tim

Check out this Tire Size Calculator

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Has great info, and you can compare your stock size to your new size.

If your gonna be towing alot i personally would go with the 285/50. your gonna need a little sidewall to help. i had a 285/50/20 on my last z71 at stock hieght and it was too small. but if it were about 3 inches lower all around it would of looked better.

so all in all 285/50's IMO

you know I was kinda thinking about that...imagine hitting a crack or a pot hole in the road with 275-40's or smaller and having to do something with the rim/tire on the side of the road? I will definatly need some side wall strength...and I wouldn't be lowering it craxy anyway...I'm looking more toi fill the fender wells and still look nice without over "tiring" it...

A 275/45 sidewall is far from small, you still have about 4-5 inches of sidewall. You should be fine towing with that.

Tim, Jake said when you get your truck he can bring over a few different sizes to try. I forgot what sizes he said he had though.

Hey Jake What size tire/wheels do you have laying around?
