7.5" The ratio stays the same. 6" on 8.5" wide, 5.5" on 8" wide, etc.

what do u mean by a healthy sized tire? I plan on runnin a 285/35-22 on a 2/4 drop, so u think 7" is right for a 9.5" wheel and that tire?

With a 2/4 you can get away with backspacing that isn't optimal. I'm giving backspacing info for 4/6 drops and bagged vehicles. But yeah, if you can find the backspaces i have listed you will have NO problems since its close to stock backspacing. Good luck finding it in anything short of a custom billet wheel though.

For a 2/4 most anything will work, but you don't wheels that stick out since they'll look like poo

exactly, i don't want that ghetto look where the tires stick out past the fenders.

so you think a backspacing of 5.5"-7.5" on a 10" wide wheel will still look good, and not stick out? that's what i am afraid of is having the wheels sticking out past the fender well and looking like poo. the wheels i am getting i can get a custom backspacing, but they either come in a 8.5" or 10" widths, am i gonna be good to run 10's all the way around? i want to be able to rotate them.

I'd come in this thread, but I really shouldn't suggest a Backspacing since I pull off 5.25 backspacing on 9.5's

ok so u have a 9.5" wheel and a 5.25" backspacing on a 3/6 drop and u have no issues? what size tire are you running? BTW like your bike...Always looks sweet in the back of the truck. I have a red truck and a red/slv/blk 02 RC51 that looks pretty good in the back of my truck, Like a whole matching rig.
