I've read different threads around a few sites and have seen where some people have used window tint on their lights (I would prefer not to do it that way), and some have painted them with different products. Does anyone have any specific products they have used for this that works well? I'm not wanting them to look completely black like some I have seen before.
I'm wanting to get something going on this while I'm painting my grill and hood to go on my s-10. I'm fixing it where a guy backed into it the day I bought it. It should look kind of like the truck in this thread, only with stock wheels: https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=435488
Forgive me if there is already a thread out there on this, I have dial up and have been looking for about 2 1/2 hours. Thanks in advance for any help I can get on this.

I lightly sanded it with some 400 grit paper, then washed it with some dawn to remove any grease. Dried it up real good and the sprayed it.
I ordered it online. Just do a search in your toolbar or on google for VHT Night Shades it's on amazon and many other sites. You can clear over it as well if you wish. I did not and 4 years later still good.

your nightshades will turn out good if you clear over them but IMO they turn out dark.
if you have a paint gun and some black paint you can tone it out....like so
scuff the lamp of your choice with fine grit paper until the shinny is gone.
whipe clean
mix some clear with black paint. sprayin light coats. spray until desired darkness is reached and then spray two coats of clear. wet sand then polish.
i did that to my tail lights and its not too dark but not to light. (2 coats)
