Default Want your opinion on wheels

Ok, for those of you who don't know, I bought a set of 18x9.5 Boyd Coddington Timeless 6's dipped in chrome. The chrome was messing up so i brought them back. They have been gone for 2 months now and finally agreed to replace them. They said i could go with a different kind if i wanted. Here's where the problem is. I'm looking for a lightweight wheel and a chrome finish. very hard to find. I want chrome b/c i don't want to be polishing all the time. I like the ''Intro'' wheels but don't think they come in chrome. If you know what i'm looking for, feel free to chime in. Thanks

I definitely like the looks of the Timeless 6's, so I'd stick with the same ones. I thought those were already a pretty light wheel.

Check into Centerline. Their wheels are forged and many are available in chrome. I know Jeff (badassilverado) ran a set of chrome lancers for awhile and they were always in great shape and very light.

Another vote for the Timeless 6. I also hear they are very light. Anybody know exactly how much they weight?

If you are wanting an 18x9.5 you are going to be somewhat limited in your options. I know because I have been doing a good bit of research on this because I want a set to put some 305 Nittos on. Not all companys will offer chroming for thier wheels but may offer a clear coat option that will keep you from having to polish them all the time. Here are a few companies to look at for some wider performance oriented 18's: Boze, Bonspeed, Boyd, Centerline, Intro.

i had the same dilema as you. Contact bryan at intro wheels, tell him that jimmyp from fullsizechevy.com send you. He had mine clearcoated with some special ceramic clearcoat that keeps them looking shiny without polishing. PLus you get first rate lightweight aluminum wheels. My 20" hammer 5s should be on their way now

Thanks for the info fellas.
BigKID- Did you ever run into any problems with the clear coat on your wheels?
jimmyp- I contacted them yesterday and he told me about the new ceramic coating but i'm kinda iffy on that. He said you get a 3 year warranty, i think.
