clean them with break part cleaner and let them dry off good. then clean them off with a paper towle to get any oil off. and spray them with a high temp. i used 1500 deg paint from auto zone in red.

I will give it a try. I was also considering roller rockers, since I will have the covers off. Any input on this?

Roller rockers are something I have considered too. I would love to see the before and after dyno gains from this mod! I think you would see at least 7+ hp to the wheels with this gain and a smoother running engine. I wonder if there would be any changes in the hp/tq curve?

Personally I would find a good powdercoating shop. My spray painting skills are pretty nasty too Anything I ever spray ends up looking totally ghetto.

Anyone know a good decently priced dyno shop in Souther Cali?

I actually was asking about a DYNO shop. I really want to see what kind of power my truck is making.

BUT I wouldnt mind doing some powdercoating too Just need to figure out what to powdercoat? Anyone got any ideas?

I really want to do something with my Engine cover. I know a place in North Hollywood, CA called the Tin Shoe that will chrome plate ANYTHING, dont know about powdercoating though.

I have a friend that even had a toy plastic bendy scorpion and a dozen egg box CHROMED! It came out beautifully and doesnt flake or crack even when bent!

I think my engine cover would look slick with this plating!

If you do this, let me know! I would love to do something similar.

I currently have a smoothed/painted Denali cover.
