Default Under the hood

What do you use to clean under your hood. Anything that can not get wet?
I know on my old truck all I had to do was cover the carb and distributor. Take the Junk to it and hose it off.

take a hose or pressure washer, just check all the connections when you are done and thouroly dry. engine degreaser for the block, dealerships use armorall in the engine compartment to leave it shiney.

Be caseful not to get water under the intake manifold...if it gets into the holes for the knock sensors they will corrode and fail.

I don't use the spray Armor All. Just use the wipes inside the truck.

Btw Very nice truck I have been thinking about doing the SS clone thing myself.

Thanks thunder.

Armor All blows....it dries everything out....quick....use Black Magic.....or Eagle One WET...much better.....as far as cleaning....jus take your sweet *** time and scrub it...and keep it that way....thats the easiest way to do it...thanks for the comp...

yeah I meant that as a general term(armoralling) I prefer the NXT generation stuff, sorry if I wasn't clear... just tried to paint the picture for you of what makes the dealers engine bays so clean and shiney.

on another note also keep armorall off your dash too, it'll dry it out and crack over time quicker when hit by sunlight.

Best under hood shiness maker to use is WD-40, the only bad thing is that it collects dust pretty bad.
