Default Turtle wax ICE?

Anyone using this stuff? Saw the infomercial and its sounds too good to be true.
Would you still need to buff out a paint job or clay bar it to get this to work in the first place?
Just removed all my badging, or what was left of it, and my side moldings.
I really need a buff job bad, I have not waxed the truck for a couple of years now!! Just washing it to keep the crud off.
I've got some new Z714x4 emblems to put on after this is all done.

I've been using ICE for a few months now. It's an OK product considering how easy it is to apply. The gloss and shine is decent for what it is. My only beef with it, is the cleaning ability of the product is incredibly weak which their FAQ on TW's website seems to say other wise:

Q: Does Ice Polish clean during application?
A: Ice polish will chemically clean and remove many organic materials like tar, oil, grease, some bug splatters, and remove old wax buildup. Always wash and dry the exterior of the vehicle before applying Ice to remove as much surface soil as possible.

I ended up contacting Turtle Wax simply because I run my own weekend detailing business, and wanted to know for sure if this product is worth the money. They told me the cleaning ability of ICE is weaker than their "Platinum Ultra Gloss Wax"...which in itself has a very mild cleaning characteristic.

This is very disappointing, because ICE Liquid Polish is supposed to be time saver: no trim staining at all, no need to find shade. If we need pre-cleaning so often due to ICE's weak cleaning ability, it is not so time saving. Although I suppose if you aren't a OCD freak when it comes to your cars appearance it wouldn't make much of a difference lol.

no personal experience with it either, but my best friends father in law runs his own body shop on the side and has been in the business for ever. He wanted to try it and see if the hype is true and says his quick reaction is the stuff kicks *** for what it is. He have the same compaint that KB has. No cleaning abilities. But for the everyday guy he would certainly suggest it.

My personal opinion is that ICE kicks ***. Living in Sacramento and the 100 Degree heat makes it almost impossible to wax a cool truck before it starts to get dark out. I use this stuff nearly everytime I wash my truck, about 2 weeks or so. It basically keeps the paint shining and seals in my Klass polisher which I use about every couple months. The thing that is the best about ICE is that you don't have to use much at all, just a little dime size drop on the applicator pad and you are ready to roll. I put it on everything but the windows, chrome valance and bumper, mirror caps, bumper cap, and rear bumper. IT makes absolutely everything shine and brings the black plastic moldings back to their original color. I highly recommend this stuff, very easy to use! Great product for the price! Here is a couple pics of my truck right after I used the ICE...

Bought and used some yesterday.
I did try it a couple of different ways.
I applied it to a buff waxed surface to se if it would make that surface even better. Results not really any better than the wax I used which was Mothers Carnuba applied with an orbital polisher.
I also applied it to an un-waxed/oxidized/water streaked surface. It did not remove any of the water marks and did not bring the shine up much at all.
The last thing I tried it on was the chrome and plastic parts of the grille and bumper. This worked great, it even took up all the wax that got on the grille from the polisher.
I'll post some pics after I get the whole truck done. I only had time to do the hood last night.

Easy to get on/off but it last about 2 washes and I wash it about every 2 weeks.

ive found that if i wash the truck one day, dry it, come back the next day and go over everything with the ICE it really makes the color deep and very glossy.

my truck is black and it impressed me.. you just have to be careful that when you use it that the vehicle isnt too dirty or it'll create swirl marks.
