Default Tryin to pick a steel hood

Well I'm lookin to make my next "big purchase" for my truck and I wanna get a new hood. I was talkin to my paint guy and he said that he's put on about 15 fiberglass hoods ranging from the cheapest to the best (brand wise) and that for every hood he had to sand and file and it was a lot of trouble and that it would jack up the labor cost because of the time. So I'm thinking about getting a steel hood instead cause their more durable and a lot less trouble. With them being steel I know that about the kind I can get is one of the cowl scoop hoods. I want one that is rounded off on the sides, because I've got a 2000 body style and I think that it will throw the look all to hell if I have a big block sitting on top of a curvey truck. Anybody got any good suggestions?

I have the ram air style hood from goodmark. It fits better than most but I despize the black plastic piece on it. I plan on customizing that part so it won't be a problem too much longer.
