Default Train Horns

So I just picked up a set of train horns they are actually pretty sweet! I shopped around for a long time, as i heard alot of bad things about knock offs, and shady practices by some companies.. and many seemed over priced.

Anyways I got mine and i love them, they are awesome quality and really really really loud, and they sound just like a train.. they are alot of fun.

Thing is the place i got them from doesn't offer the Semi truck style chai pull to use as a switch.. does anyone know where to find one? Also i mounted everything under the truck... but i was wondering appearance wise how you guys think it looks with horns mounted on top of the cab?

btw i picked them up at http://www.trainhorn.org and i reccomend them. I got the level 4 kit

I guess this is a really dumb question but are they legal there? I thought those things were illegal which is probably why you don't see (m)any mounted on the top of the cab. I may be wrong, though.

Yes they are, the reaction you get, when ya blast the **** out of sombody. People are like wtf when that big sound comes from my lil truck lol. Also I do not think they are ileagal unless you are using them inplace of your standard horn. So as long as you still have your standard horn I think your alright. At least it didn't say anything in md law book about it.

Any Idea if the 155 DB kit is good? I dont want to spend $500 on horns but the $200 kit sounds nice just to play around...

I wouldn't mount them on top of the truck. But you could possible put 2 of them in your lower valance if you cut another hole next to your fogs.

Yea a friend got the 155db level1 kit from them, and likes it just as much. it doesnt blast as long as mine but it's damn loud.

parke yeah i looked at all of the options before i bought, a friend has the horblasters and doesnt like it at all mine blows it out of the water.. the trianhorn.org one is better in my opinion

My truck at work has one of thoes. It is not a switch. It is a valve the alows the air to flow to the horns.

I saw some guy last weekend with them mounted on his hood...It looked pretty stupid to me. As far as the legality, I'm pretty sure they are highly illegal since cops try to bust you for anything not stock on a vehicle

I like the idea of them as long as they are hidden.
