Default Toyo Proxes S/T III

These were recently released, does anyone have experience with them yet? I'll be going to a new tire and wheel combo and these new Proxes really sparked my interest. A quick Google search hasn't provided any consumer reviews, I'm willing to give them a test run.

I believe kris from suspension source has them on her truck.

FWIW, I have st2's, they are terrible in the rain.

I don't necessarily need superb wet traction as it only rains for 20 minutes every six months in southern California lol but I do like the tread pattern of the tire. I'm more concerned with every grip, the truck is only making 284hp 294tq at the wheels but will soon be making almost double that.

Lucky. They are a decent tire other than that.

No personal experience here, but it looks like the tread redesign in the III's would be better for wet traction.

They also highlight this in their promo video:

My only concern would be road noise beyond 5k miles. Large directional blocking tends to make a lot of noise, but perhaps their asymmetrical staggered design will lessen that droning effect.

Yeah i'm not opposed to wet traction, it's not #1 concern because of where I live. I see a lot of guys like the Hankook RH06 but I don't really like the look of the tire and it seems the Nitto 420 are no longer available even though it's still on their website.

Well I've had these tires on for several months now and I really like them. With my wimpy 4.8, LS 3.73 rear end, and bolt-ons I can spin them on a launch but when I have a little weight in the bed they hook up great!! It's rained a few times and the wet traction seems to be pretty good even with a 3200 stall converter. I imagine I'll wear them out sooner than normal as I'm on staggered fitment (295/45r20 rear 265/50r20 front)

I just ordered a set of these, mainly for a xmas present for myself and because i got a really good deal on them off of ebay after i threw out a best offer on them. Hopefully they arent too awful in the snow or ice as they will see it sooner or later, although in awd format..

Is this new Eagle GT a Canada-only tire or something? Tried looking it up on Tire Rack (using a U.S. zip) and don't see it in either size I might run, 275/55/20 (wife's Silvy SS) or 285/45/22 (Centerlines on my Silvy SS) - if it's anything like the stuff they supply to OEM's I'd pass..

Back to the ST III, I ran the Proxes ST and ST II on several trucks and was pretty happy with those in daily driver usage in SE Texas which typical conditions include brutally hot summers, and plenty of rain. Will be interested in hearing how the ST III's do; hopefully in time for me to make a decision when these Nitto 421Q's wear out on my truck. (They've been OK too but I haven't asked much of them; they were practically brand new on a set of wheels I bought so I've just been running them.)
