tires size

The tire you are currently running comes in at 29.7 inches, where the 305/50/20 is 32 inches. Those extra inches are gonna KILL the gear in your truck, and probrobally cost you a couple tenths in the quarter. I run 285/50/20's in the summer, and would like to go to a 275-45-20 just to pick up performance a little. When it comes time for new tires that's the way I'm goin'. Why do you want to go to the 305's.

Yeah, I wish I could run 305's on the rear for traction. My traction is pretty good right now but a fatter tire would still look cool. It seems that the tire manufacturers are completely skipping the 30" tire size range, which is weird since everyone has about 30" tires on their trucks stock.

Well, I got the same tires as you, and I never get more than 5 feet of spin as long as the road is dry, but I do have traction bars, and an Eaton Limites Slip. The Eaton gave me the best traction out of everything else.
