The wheel is 8.5 I guess there is about an 1.5" difference between the 285/50 and the 275/45, I didnt realize that there would be that much difference as far as fitment but after seeing the difference in an inch difference on the drop I am almost affraid to even try the 275/45. I am going for a slightly raked look, would a 285/50 fit the rear and I could go with a 275/45 or a 265/50 for the front? Any thoughts???

275/45 = 10.826 wide
285/50 = 11.220 wide

= .394 difference almost 3/8 =.375

I'm running 275/45/20 on my 2/4 drop and no rubbing issues. I was told that anyting bigger might rub. I believe I have 5.5 backspacing on my 8.5 wide rims.

285/50 will definately rub in the front and probably in the back over big bumps. That tire is almost 32" tall!
