I would go with acrylic, it would hold up much better. The paint I used was a little different so I would say neither, but if I did it again I would go acrylic.

Yeah, it should harden a lot more when dried making it more durable. The acrylic should also stick and dry better on plastic surfaces.

I would check out the Nu Image dash cover. Mine fits really nice and was really easy to paint. Its a really nice piece. Its much easier than pulling the dash out and doing all of that work with it.

my whole interior has been smoothed and painted used ureathane( i think almost 100% sure but it late so).. but i think acr. would have been better

All of my interior is smoothed and painted with basecoat/clearcoat then was color-sanded and buffed. It has been holding up fine and looks like glass.

i sanded mine down till almost smooth then put a light coat of primer on it then sanded it down and used PPG base/clear on it and it is like glass and didnt have to color sand and buff. just like glass out of the spray gun.
