Default Those gauges that seem to be really blue

So Ive seen those SS clusters and the esclades gauges that are really blue at night I seen some of the threads of pics at night just how u guys did that!

I know in the older trucks you could change out the bulbs behind the cluster and dash parts, but the newer ones are LED and I don't know if you can change them as easily.

It depends on your year... if you have a -2002.. your good to go...
Just visit Superbrightleds.com.... if you have a 2003+ have fun with the soilder gun... haha

i like yours i just dont like how it shows the hotspots so bad

The 99-02 are completely different than the 03+ Clusters.

99-02 Can be done as mentioned above with the twist lock bulbs.

The 03+ is a solder job. The stock lamps are soldered to the PCB.

Here's one that I did.


The LED's I use work perfectly with the stock dimmer(PLCC SMD LED's). Blue is the only color in this format of LED that will work with the stock dimmer. Red, White, and some other colors will not work with the dimmer at all.

Here is a picture of the LED with the resistor.





The needles in this pick are not positioned right, just slapped on for the pic. The LED's for the needles are not in. I have to use different colored LED's for the needles because Blue does not light them up well.

You can barely notice any hotspots.. the camera makes them look horrible..
Ill get a pic of them .... im goin to be gettin the 6bulb LEDs to make them super bright... haha
