taller cowl induction hood?

Default taller cowl induction hood?

is there a manifacure that makes a a taller cowl hood for a 04 gmc. I see the lots of the basic ones around and i like them but i whant to go biger, like 4 or 5 inch off the hood.

Getting a custom one is the only option you have.

soooo very true.

best bet.... find and buy the cowl you want (i think they sell cowls separate now? dunno for sure.) map out on either factory hood or aftermarket... cut, weld, grind, smooth, body fill, sand, prime, sand more, seal, paint....ect ect

I did lots of looking around and talked to plenty of body shops about it. The cheapest option was to find a used hood (found mine on Craig's List for $200), buy the cowl of your choice and attach it urself. I think once mine is finished I'll have about $700 in it (hood, cowl, glue, paint, tools) plus my labour. A body shop will charge u a fortune to do it...my guy wanted $1000+!!! Other than that...keep looking...try Harwood, they make lots of tall cowls and some hoods.
