Tailgate WTF???

I just removed my tailgate to install my roll Pan now I can't get the socket on the right side to go back on WTF? Can someone tell what I'm doing wrong, because as far as I can tell its not rocket science...

slip the left side on, then put the gate at a 45* angle and drop the right side on. clip the straps on and it's done.

You didn't have tailgate class to get your PhD? Haha not sure what you could be doing wrong..

make sure the plactic piece on the tailgate didnt spin around and block the opening.

Yep tried that but the right side just hangs I don't know gonna get a second set of hands to help

if the right side hangs, shove the left side in all of the way. take a good look at how things work before going at it. like you said it's not rocket science
