Default Tailgate handle?

What are some options if I want to paint the rear tailgate handle? But I dont really want to paint the tailgate cap to match, since Its useful and it wont look good if I paint it then it chips. And I have the escalade handles so Im not sure if I should paint it all the way blue or just the bezel and get a chrome handle cover does anyone have any pics or Ideas?

Default Tailgate handle

Hey drkbluesierra did you get a smooth tailgate handle or was it the stock textured black tailgate handle? For that.

it was a stock one, i just sanded it smooth. Then sprayed them with paint adhesion promoter, then painted them with primer and sanded the primmer with some 1500 grit to make it super smooth. Then i sent it to the painter.
