How much does a stock '03-'04 16x7 aluminum wheel weigh? Currently I have the heavy 16x6.5 steel wheels and I was wondering how much more they weigh compared to the aluminum 16x7. I checked in the wheel/tire weight thread and it says the steel wheel weighs 29 lbs. but it does not mention the aluminum wheels. Also, is there any difference in weight between the '99-'02 and '03-'04 aluminum wheels?

 

I compared them and it was a 12 pounds difference. These were the some 04+ GMC aluminum and came in at 52 pounds. BTW, the older style 99+ aluminum also came in at 52 pounds. Then the spare with the steel rim and it came in at 64 pounds. All of these wheels had the General 255/70/16 tire.
