i did a search and could not find the answer im looking for, so im sorry if this is a repost....but as many tire size Q's as there are someone should put a sticky on tire size vs. drop size vs wheel size. i have stock 17's on my sierra, i like the look and dont have the money for the wheels i would like, so my question is, what is the widest/ best fitting tire for my 06 rcsb with a 2" shackle drop. i would like to go lower but i tow on occasion and i found out the 2 in the back is about as low as i can comfortably go while this is my main vehicle. im looking for a decent sidewall, no LOW profile but a little smaller is ok. width is what i am looking for.


short version: 17 stock wheel, what size for width and decent sidewall....

I just put some 17 with 275-60's Toyo Proxies S/T's on my truck, I really like them.

 

I have 275/50/17s with a 2/4 drop and absolutly no rubbage. Heres some w/o the drop. if that hepls

 

looks good, cause i dont wanna drop it i think i am gonna get 275/60/17s

 

I'm doing 275/60's with a drop... I like the fenders full...
